Disclaimer

Biologikal publishes analysis of medical and biological research. It does not practise medicine.

This is not medical advice

Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. Do not start, stop, or change any medication, supplement, diet, exercise programme, or donation schedule on the basis of something you read here. Talk to a qualified professional who can actually examine you.

If you are having a medical emergency, contact emergency services.

What it is instead

Every piece is an argument about mechanism, built from published literature and cited so you can check it. The citations are real and the sources are linked. The reading of them is the author's, and one reading is not a consensus.

Where the evidence is preliminary, the text says so. Mouse results are not human results. Association is not causation. An in-vitro finding is not a therapy. Articles discussing interventions still under investigation — cellular reprogramming, longevity compounds, experimental protocols — describe what is being studied, not what is available or advisable.

On speculation

Some articles propose studies that have not been run, or extend a finding past what its authors claimed. Those passages are marked as proposals and hypotheses. They are written to be falsifiable, not to be believed. Treat them as questions worth funding, not conclusions worth acting on.

No relationship, no endorsement

Reading this publication does not create a doctor-patient relationship, a research collaboration, or a professional duty of any kind. Nothing here has been reviewed or endorsed by any institution, journal, or regulatory body, and no article should be read as speaking for the researchers whose work it cites.

Corrections

Errors get fixed, and material corrections are noted in the piece rather than quietly edited out. If something here is wrong, say so. The argument either improves or it dies, and both outcomes are useful.
